Some projects fill you with genuine pride when you look back on them, and Macmillan Way in Tooting is definitely one of those for All Weather Exteriors.
This was a project that required considerable planning, communication and coordination, but ultimately delivered a fantastic result for the residents involved.
We can work on all types of windows and properties regardless of size.
Making Window Replacement Simple for Residents
Located above Macmillan Way Surgery in SW17, this residential building presented a unique challenge. The original timber windows were heavy, and replacing them safely required scaffolding to access every window throughout the building.
Working closely with the building manager, All Weather Exteriors prepared a detailed window replacement report on behalf of the residents, helping everyone understand exactly what was involved before making a decision.
We provided each resident with clear, straightforward pricing, including:
- Individual window replacement costs for each flat.
- Scaffolding costs based on the floor their property was situated on.
- A breakdown of the work required to replace their original timber windows.
Our aim was to make the process as transparent and straightforward as possible, allowing every resident to make an informed decision about their own property.
Coordinating Over 30 Residents
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was working directly with over 30 individual property owners.
At All Weather Exteriors, we genuinely enjoy getting to know our customers, and this project gave us the opportunity to build relationships with residents throughout the building.
The majority of residents chose to proceed with their window replacements, allowing us to coordinate the work across the building and deliver a consistent, high-quality finish.
Four Weeks of Window Installation
With the scaffolding in place, our installation team completed the window replacement works over a four-week period.
The photographs show the scaffolding erected across the building’s rear elevation, providing safe access to the windows at every level. This was particularly important given the weight and position of the original timber frames.
Once the installations were complete, All Weather Exteriors issued the relevant CERTASS certificates and formally signed off the project, providing residents with the appropriate certification for their new window installations.
Five Visits and Counting!
What makes this project particularly special is that our relationship with Macmillan Way hasn’t ended.
All Weather Exteriors is back working at Macmillan Way again this week, making this our fifth visit to the site.
It’s always rewarding when a project leads to continued work, lasting relationships and the opportunity to help even more residents.
For us, this is what good customer service and successful project management are all about.
