First-Time Buyer Renovation. Victorian Terraced Flat, SW2
This project was a full window replacement for a first-time buyer updating the upper flat of a Victorian terraced house.
The property originally featured mostly old timber sash windows, which were replaced with new uPVC sash windows. uPVC sash windows are great as they look just like timer (its very hard to tell the difference).
Inside, the transformation is instantly noticeable. The bay window in the living and dining area fills the space with natural light, creating a bright, welcoming feel that is perfect for a first home. In the bathroom, a frosted uPVC casement window allows plenty of daylight in while maintaining privacy.
After seeing the finished result upstairs, the downstairs neighbour asked us to carry out their window replacement too. Installing matching uPVC sash windows on the ground floor created a consistent external look and significantly improved the kerb appeal of the whole property.
This project shows how sympathetic window design and a consistent approach across a building can make a real difference, improving comfort, adding value and enhancing the overall appearance of a traditional terraced home.
